EXPERIENCE

Attorney Denisse C. Ilabaca is the founder of Ilabaca Law, PLLC, a law firm focused only on the practice of Immigration and Nationality Law and serving clients across the state of Florida. Since her admission to the practice of law, Attorney Denisse has successfully navigated complex cases touching upon all areas of Immigration Law. She is an experienced advocate for those required to go before U. S. Citizenship & Immigration Services and the Executive Office for Immigration Review (Immigration Court). Attorney Ilabaca is a Florida Bar Board Certified Attorney in Immigration and Nationality Law since 2022.

 

Attorney Ilabaca has dedicated her professional career to the practice of Immigration Law and regularly defends clients compelled to face Customs & Border Protection, Enforcement and Removal Operations, Immigration Court, United States Citizenship and Immigration Services, and U.S. Consulates around the world. Not only is Attorney Denisse passionate about accomplishing the interests and goals of each of her clients, she is acutely aware of the importance of keeping her clients regularly informed and working with them, side-by-side, every step of the way.

 

BACKGROUND

Denisse C. Ilabaca graduated with honors from the Florida State University College of Law. She received her Bachelors of Arts in Political Science and Philosophy while attending college in Miami, Florida, graduating with honors from Florida International University. While in law school, Attorney Denisse was chosen to serve as judicial intern for the Executive Office for Immigration Review in Orlando, Florida. As an intern at the Orlando Immigration Court, she had the privilege of working closely with Judicial Law Clerks and Judges, researching new and complex immigration issues, and preparing written decisions for Judges presiding over active cases.

 

Throughout her law school career, Attorney Denisse devoted herself to the study of Immigration Law, focusing her studies on Immigration, Asylum and Refugee, and Human Trafficking Law. During her second year of law school, she was voted by her peers to be a member of the Executive Board, earning the title of Executive Editor for the Journal of Transnational Law and Policy, a publication specializing in international legal matters.
